We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Operations Specialist to join our team at Peraton. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in Windows and Linux system administration.
Key Responsibilities- System Administration: Maintain the operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with development teams.
- System Monitoring: Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Security Administration: Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- System Maintenance: Perform other duties such as setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
- User Interaction: Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
- Hardware and Software Procurement: Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
- Policies and Standards: Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years' experience with a BS/BA, minimum of 10 years' experience with an MS/MA, or minimum of 7 years' experience with a Ph.D. In lieu of degree, 16 years of related experience is allowable.
- System Administration Experience: Experience with Windows system administration functions and Linux system administration functions.
- Certification: A current/valid Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT II Level Certification) or the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire.
- STIGs, ACAS, SCAP, and Anti-Virus Technologies: Experience with STIGs, ACAS, SCAP, and Anti-Virus technologies.
- Ansible: Experience with Ansible.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
