Pries Enterprises Inc is seeking an experienced Extrusion Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our 7-inch press, ensuring high-quality production and meeting customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the 7-inch extrusion press, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
  • Assist in completing daily production reports and tracking production metrics.
  • Arrange and carry out die and alloy changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Challenge and improve productivity and scrap rates, optimize press recipes, and adapt to changing customer needs.
  • Run production per the schedule for the day, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer expectations.
  • Arrange for proper materials to be at press for scheduled runs, ensuring seamless production.
  • Ensure dies are set up properly and ready for production via the furnace operator, minimizing errors and rework.
  • Assist the team lead with machine setup, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Enter production information into the company software system, maintaining accurate records and tracking progress.
  • Occasionally pull random samples for Team Leaders to check conformity, ensuring quality control.
  • Responsible for insuring the proper alloy is used for production runs, adhering to quality standards.
  • Break down dies after extrusion, and place them in the caustic area, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting any unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Safety Department.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, adhering to company policies and expectations.
  • Clean and organize your work area, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
