About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Teladoc Health, Inc. as an independent contractor clinician. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide evidence-based treatment to patients via telephone or video, working in an unsupervised capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult and adolescent mental health patients.
  • Work with a healthcare team to provide patients with outpatient tele-mental health therapy services.
  • Analyze and maintain clinical records and reports to diagnose mental health conditions and propose treatment options.
  • Interview patients to assess their needs and develop response plans.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and other activities as deemed appropriate by leadership.
  • Meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards, adhering to department policies and objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of non-supervised independent practice experience in a clinical setting.
  • Certification as a LCSW, LPCC, LMFT (as applicable by state for independent practice).
  • Masters degree or higher in social work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Successful completion of training hours under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (as applicable by state for independent practice).
  • Current licensure for independent clinical practice in California.
  • Enrolled in Medicaid.
