Position Summary:
The role is situated within our West Assembly sector, focusing on a variety of assembly tasks related to electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components. Responsibilities encompass strain gage bonding, wiring and soldering, calibration, testing, potting, and general mechanical assembly, among other duties.

Work Schedule:
This position follows a regular schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime may be required, occasionally extending into Fridays and Saturdays, typically involving shorter workdays.

Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $19.47 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various power tools, hand tools, and material handling equipment as necessary.
  • Work across multiple workstations and product lines.
  • Retrieve components from various heights, including floor and overhead locations.
  • Interpret and understand technical drawings, work aids, and safety documentation.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, actively participating in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Handle materials classified as potentially hazardous, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues to the maintenance team.
  • Assist in workflow management and training of new team members as directed.
  • Engage in effective communication with colleagues in a collaborative environment.
  • Exhibit technical proficiency and quality assurance in all tasks.
  • Meet production targets consistent with team expectations.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and break times.
  • Utilize computer systems for logging activities and submitting requests.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and data entry tasks.
  • Adapt to different product lines as required to fulfill company objectives.

Qualifications:

Skills: Essential skills include self-management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication. Basic counting and soldering skills are advantageous, along with familiarity with computers and keyboarding.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, possess good hand-eye coordination, and have the ability to walk significant distances throughout the workday. The role requires the capability to lift and control items weighing up to 25 lbs overhead momentarily.

Other Requirements: Ability to follow instructions in English from various sources, retain training information, and collaborate positively with a diverse team. A strong work ethic and self-motivation are crucial, along with punctuality and adherence to safety and company policies.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
