Position Summary:
The role of the Service Writer entails accurately gathering and inputting data into the system, managing appointment schedules, providing customer assistance, and facilitating daily work order management. This position emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service through various communication methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer intake processes and generate repair orders
- Assist in securing approvals and coordinating repair schedules
- Update customers on repair progress and encourage service sales
- Stay informed about service-related updates and documentation
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain effective communication with team members and clients
- Participate in mandatory training sessions
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrate a proactive approach, have strong problem-solving capabilities, and exhibit excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in English, familiarity with heavy truck maintenance, and strong organizational abilities are essential for this position.
Work Environment:
This role may require physical activities such as lifting items up to 50 pounds, in addition to administrative tasks involving paperwork and computer usage. The position also involves interaction with various stakeholders, exposure to noise and materials, and adherence to uniform standards.
