Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide general and emergency respiratory therapy procedures to patients as directed by physicians and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory assessment, airway and ventilator management, bi-level non-invasive ventilation management, pulmonary diagnostics, and delivery of medicated aerosols.
  • Assist with intubation, CPR, bronchoscopy, arterial line placement, arterial sampling, and ABG analysis and interpretation.
  • Make independent judgments and modify care as necessary according to departmental policies and approved physician protocols.
  • Routinely make rounds with physicians in critical care units.
  • Act as a preceptor and support the development of new and existing staff members.
Requirements
  • License to practice respiratory care in the state of practice.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network.
