We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente Washington clinics. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in conducting a CDC research study to evaluate the effectiveness of the flu vaccine.
The ideal candidate will have experience in recruiting participants in a clinical setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for reviewing EPIC schedules, screening and consenting patients, administering questionnaires, and collecting nose and throat swabs and blood samples from participants.
This is a temporary position lasting approximately 4-6 months during flu season. We are hiring for 5 clinics in the Olympia area.
Responsibilities- Recruit and enroll patients with respiratory illnesses at Urgent Care clinics
- Conduct screenings, consents, and questionnaires
- Collect nose and throat swabs and blood samples from participants
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve study goals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Professional clinical skills and experience in project planning and implementation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience recruiting participants in a clinical setting (a plus)
