Mechanical Production Associate

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance of verbal or written directives, including operator sheets, blueprints, specification documents, routing instructions, and other necessary production forms as designated by management, the employee will undertake a variety of tasks. These tasks encompass, but are not limited to, the following: measuring and cutting chain, operating bending machines, presses, cutting equipment, and both manual and automated production lines. The role also involves assembling various types of chains and chain accessories, operating reelers, transferring products, welding components, performing packaging duties, and utilizing the JDE/RFS computer system. General clean-up tasks may also be assigned as needed. Employees in this role are expected to be cross-trained and demonstrate proficiency in a range of tasks within the department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Depend on a lead for equipment setup and adjustments.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, preventive maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure adherence to product quality specifications.
  • Complete process and quality documentation accurately.
  • Engage in respectful communication with colleagues.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

While executing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands and fingers for handling or feeling, and communicate verbally. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may require assistance for lifting items exceeding 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
