Produce Department Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Produce Department Team Trainer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to new team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new team members, focusing on produce department operations, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Collaborate with team leaders and store trainers to schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring timely completion of new member connections.
- Facilitate team-specific operational training, including operational learning pathways and team-specific program rollouts.
- Act as a role model, maintaining a positive image and providing customer-obsessed service, while ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation procedures, and occupational safety standards.
- Train all team members on customer service standards, new products, and sales tactics, and provide timely feedback to ensure excellent customer service.
- Complete the team trainer operational learning pathway, team trainer certification, and other assigned training, while maintaining engagement with all communication platforms.
- Organize, track, report, and maintain accurate training records using Whole Foods Market's learning systems.
- 6 months of Whole Foods Market experience (or equivalent retail training experience).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, and willingness to follow directions and procedures.
- Passion for high-quality foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures less than 32°F (freezers), 32-40°F (refrigerators), and greater than 90°F.
- Ability to work in wet and/or cold environments, use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
