**Community Associate Job Overview**

The City of New York is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as a Community Associate in the NYC Community Boards. **Job Summary**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to support the Community Board's planning, administrative, operational, and outreach activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for public service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Community Board, including meeting preparation, correspondence, and data entry.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Foster relationships with community groups, city agencies, and stakeholders to promote the Community Board's initiatives and services.
  • Liaison Services: Serve as a liaison between city agencies, community organizations, constituents, and elected officials to address concerns and resolve issues.

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Education and Experience: High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities.
  • Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree, excellent communication and customer service skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
