POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Student Behavior Support Specialist will collaborate with educational leadership to uphold student attendance, manage conduct, and foster a constructive educational atmosphere in alignment with institutional and district objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline
  • Experience engaging with students exhibiting social and behavioral challenges
  • Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain precise documentation
  • Engage with families and the community
  • Contribute positively to the school and district environment
SALARY RANGE: $26.00/hr-$32.00/hr based on qualifications and experienceAPPLICATION PROCESS:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
  • Competent in utilizing computer systems and relevant software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic understanding of data management and record-keeping
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Training in emergency protocols, confidentiality, disciplinary procedures, and crisis intervention certification is mandatory during the initial employment period.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Enforce district conduct policies
  • Assist in monitoring attendance and preventing truancy
  • Oversee students during non-academic periods
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may involve standing, walking, and verbal communication. Light physical activity may be required.
