Job Summary:

Bay Area Hospital is seeking a skilled Food Service Associate I to join our team. As a Food Service Associate I, you will be responsible for assisting with tray line activities, cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking areas of the kitchen/cafeteria. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a difference in the lives of our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with tray line activities, including preparing and serving food to patients and staff

• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment

• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure a smooth operation

• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to follow all procedures for safe food handling and sanitation

Requirements:

• Must hold (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire) an Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager certification or ServSafe certification

• Able to read, write legibly, and converse in the English language

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

• Oregon state driver's license preferred

Working Conditions:

• Work may be done in uncomfortably high temperature and humidity, sometimes on wet surfaces

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend frequently

• May be required to lift up to 20 pounds
