Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging R&D Engineer Intern to join our Research and Development team. The successful candidate will assist in the development and commercialization of new packaging solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the identification of new packaging opportunities and develop innovative solutions to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with business and technical peers to plan, execute, and analyze plant or lab trials
  • Review and approve technical specifications, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate packaging timelines to meet company milestones and deadlines
  • Prepare and present technical reports to business teams, both written and oral
  • Gain a working knowledge of packaging principles and operating systems, as well as industry trends and developments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Packaging Science or an equivalent engineering discipline
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool
  • Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution
