Overview:

The Safety Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing all activities within the Safety Division, ensuring a secure and protected environment for all employees and visitors in alignment with applicable federal, state, local, and organizational regulations.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute protocols related to the safety of guests and staff to adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the company's legal representatives and insurance claim adjusters regarding personal injury claims against the organization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain training programs focused on employee safety.
  • Advocate for and conduct routine safety and health evaluations across all areas impacting the safety of guests and staff.
  • Establish, uphold, and enforce safety policies and procedures at both the company and departmental levels.
  • Organize and lead regular safety briefings addressing the safety of guests and employees.
  • Examine and address safety-related complaints and inquiries.
  • Provide safety assessments and recommendations during the planning, construction, or modification of company initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Certification as an Amusement Park Safety Inspector.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of pertinent experience.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and ASTM guidelines for amusement parks.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business operations. Must be able to pass a mandatory (or random) drug screening in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by state or provincial law.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation, which may encompass credit, criminal history, driving records, prior employment, educational verification, and personal references, in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by federal, state, or provincial law.
