We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at Saint Louis University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biophysics, biomedical engineering, biology, or a related field.
Responsibilities- Design and execute experiments to investigate the rheological properties of cancer cells
- Develop and implement novel laboratory protocols to study cell mechanics
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals
- Train and mentor students and staff in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Assist with grant preparation and writing reports to secure funding for research projects
- Contribute to the development of new research ideas and proposals
- Ph.D. in biophysics, biomedical engineering, biology, or a related field
- Strong background in cell culture, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and live imaging
- Experience with micropipette aspiration, AFM, flow chambers/microfluidic devices, Western blotting, and PCR is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
