About the Role

Vann York Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for processing new and used vehicle registrations, preparing tax and title documents, and submitting legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Registration: Process new and used vehicle registrations in the state where they will be titled.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare tax and title documents, including payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
  • Transfer Work: Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Inventory Management: Stock in and post new vehicle factory invoices, and post all wholesale vehicle sales.
  • Auction Coordination: Prepare titles for auction and submit via postal service, and receive all money for the sale of auction vehicles.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform other duties as needed, including looking up stock numbers for incoming titles.
Requirements
  • Experience: Title Clerk experience is required, with a minimum of [insert time period] years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Certified Notary Public for the state of North Carolina is required.
  • Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Availability: Must be available to work 8a-5p, Monday through Friday.
