Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at DecisivEdge, LLC in Newark, Delaware. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch desktop support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with system upgrades.

About the Role
  • Provide desktop support to users for computer-related technical problems
  • Respond to end-user inquiries and issues
  • Participate in internal and customer technology projects
Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and maintain service and inventory for all end-user computing equipment as necessary, including Desktops (physical and virtual), networking equipment (including firewalls, WiFi, VLANs, switches, etc.), and related internet services (Office365, Google, IAM, etc.).
  2. Manage VDI environment, Azure Virtual Desktops, and VMWare Horizon
  3. Manage end-user devices including software installation (both automated and manual), verify proper controls, and maintain compliance
  4. Recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures
  5. Maintain trust and confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by network users
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or above in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in information technology or technical support
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10 and 11 architecture and management
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Management and Thin Clients
