Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team at RealTruck. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial monthly accounting close cycle to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and RealTruck accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Participate in the month-end close process preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and internal reports.
  • Perform internal controls over accounting and financial reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee, identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting risks and issues and recommend practical solutions associated with business transactions.
  • Maintain the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy; analyze reports and collaborate with functional leaders to analyze and understand variances.
  • Support efforts to improve close processes, automation projects, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support in the coordination of the external audit, gather necessary materials and documents, and handle other necessary tasks.
  • Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree is required.
  • 3 years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience required.
  • Experience using integrated financial systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with consolidations and reporting, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.
  • Experience with reconciling balance sheet accounts - Blackline, preferred.
