Job Summary

We are seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our team in the United States. As a Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for performing surveying, mapping, and data collection activities.

About the Role

In this role, you will work with close guidance and supervision on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor. You will use your basic knowledge of field survey work to collect data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimension of land or land features.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Use basic knowledge of field survey work to collect data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimension of land or land features.
  • Assist in transfer survey data to the proper files in the computer network.
  • Assist the survey crew in operating and maintaining survey instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
  • Perform basic tasks including holding level rod, prism pole, or tape at designated points, laying out stakes, and clearing brush and trees from the line of survey with a machete, brush hook, or chainsaw.
  • Maintain equipment and survey vehicle; clean and organize vehicle.
  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic knowledge of surveying.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience performing field boundary, topographic, land title surveys, and construction staking.
  • The ability to use GPS, data collectors, total stations, robotics, and relevant survey equipment.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications, based on the job requirements and the cost of living in the area. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year, and employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave.

Location

This position is located in Naples, Florida, with opportunities to work in nearby Fort Myers, Florida. The primary location is United States-Florida-Naples, but other locations may include United States-Florida-Fort Myers.Organization
