Job Title: Front of House Supervisor/Bar Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Description:

The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor at The Waters Of Minocqua is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our front of house restaurant operations. This role requires a strong leader who can maintain high standards of food and beverage service, customer satisfaction, and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of department staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and training.
  • Ensure excellent guest service by providing a welcoming environment and maintaining high standards.
  • Handle customer service escalations, including complaints and compliments.
  • Work with the Kitchen Manager to identify and estimate food and beverage supply requirements.
  • Plan and assign daily goals, tasks, and assignments for front of house staff.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team and FOH team members.
  • Monitor sales performance through sales reports and comparison shopping.
  • Maintain merchandising efforts, display presentations, and signing standards.
  • Work under pressure, exercising good judgment and handling conflict and uncomfortable situations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

  • High school education required.
  • At least two years of progressive experience in front of house or similar restaurant operations.
  • Wisconsin-approved food manager certification (SERV Safe) within 30 days of hiring.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interface with customers, staff, vendors, and management.
  • Working knowledge of food service, health, and safety guidelines, and best practices.
  • General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems, and other office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, frequent physical activity, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs occasionally and walk outside in various weather conditions.
