This role will primarily focus on creating cost intelligence tools, performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluations, and supporting sourcing managers in strategic negotiations and design-related decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Should-Cost Models for various products and components.
  • Create world-class cost intelligence models and tools to enhance the hardware supply chain.
  • Analyze cost data to identify actionable insights and summarize trends.
  • Collaborate with sourcing managers and suppliers to compile datasets for cost analysis.
  • Establish benchmarking data related to costs, including historical and competitive insights.
  • Utilize cost management techniques such as target costing and competitive bidding to support sourcing initiatives.
  • Facilitate cost-related design workshops and work closely with engineering teams to influence product costs during the early phases of new product introductions.
  • Identify and resolve cost data quality issues during report and analysis development.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly business performance updates and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Effectively manage projects to achieve measurable outcomes.

Performance Metrics:

Success in this role will be evaluated based on the accuracy of cost analysis, the timely completion of deliverables, the quality of outputs, and feedback from cross-functional teams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in building should-cost models for diverse products and services.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform detailed cost analysis and uncover key insights.
  • Expertise in creating benchmarking data related to costs and understanding supplier cost dynamics.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial reports and technical data.
  • Exceptional documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to provide constructive feedback.
  • In-depth knowledge of purchasing regulations and cost management principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing dashboards or Excel models to support analytical needs.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for cost efficiency.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Finance is preferred.

Skills Required:

Expertise in PCB manufacturing, financial analysis, cost analysis, and data interpretation.
