Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation systems for our cutting-edge process and packaging solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to create functional documentation for machine lines and specific machine functions.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure proper design of electrical and controls systems.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex PLC software, controls, and automation problems on the shop floor.
  • Research and implement new technologies and methods in machine/motion control, Industrial IoT/I4.0, and other areas.
  • Lead and execute product-line development projects by generating electrical schematics, software code, and bills of material.
  • Coordinate and implement maintenance tasks for PLC and PC-based controls platforms, software solutions, engineering libraries, and documentation.
  • Offer technical support to customers, customer service, sales engineering, and project team engineers & technicians as needed.
  • Support and lead Syntegon continuous improvement activities, engineering processes, and production activities when required.
  • Maintain compliance with Syntegon company policies, quality standards, and industry safety standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of a 4-year Technical Degree in Automated Manufacturing Technology or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience involving the design of automated capital equipment.
Benefits and Compensation
