Job Title: Legal Specialist

Job Summary:

Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. is seeking a Legal Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents under the supervision of attorneys.
  2. Conduct on and off-site intake for clients.
  3. Communicate with clients and third parties regarding cases and matters.
  4. Support attorneys with office administrative tasks, including scheduling, editing documents, creating files, scanning documents, and mailing documents.
  5. Participate in weekly case review and attend client meetings as instructed by supervising attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preference given to applicants with knowledge of basic real estate principles and document drafting skills.
