About the Role

Boston University's College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students, particularly those majoring in Computer Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic advising to first and second-year students majoring in Computer Science, as well as students in other disciplines who seek advice about CS courses and programs.
  • Work with students to develop a plan to realize their academic, career, and life goals, in cooperation with the CAS Academic Advising Center.
  • Participate in First Year Experience programming, including teaching first-year seminars and planning and leading programs in collaboration with the CAS Office of Student Programs & Leadership.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3-5 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
