Job Title: Veterinary ER/ICU Technician

Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC), a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. We are seeking a motivated, positive, and compassionate Veterinary ER/ICU Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Veterinary ER/ICU Technician will provide advanced care for hospitalized patients deemed critical and stable according to the veterinarian's evaluation and AESC's defined levels of hospitalization. This individual will assess patients, facilitate treatments under the direction of the supervising veterinarian, and communicate effectively with the veterinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent and advanced patient care to every hospitalized patient.
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures as needed.
  • Perform standard technician duties, including patient restraint, venipuncture, SQ fluids, radiographs, medication administration, and laboratory sample processing.
  • Collaborate with all departments across the hospital to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Respond to STAT calls and follow patient care protocols.
  • Maintain accurate paperless medical records using EzyVet and Smartflow.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required.
  • Veterinary Technician Certification/Registration.

  • Strong technical skills for efficient patient care.
  • Ability to multitask and anticipate needs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
