We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and preventing athletes' injuries, as well as providing coverage to Jamestown Public School.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat athletes' injuries, utilizing sound knowledge and clinical techniques.
- Provide coverage to Jamestown Public School, attending practices, games, matches, and other events as needed.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs, utilizing protective tapings, wraps, and braces.
- Collaborate with coaches, parents, and physicians to ensure optimal care for athletes.
- Design and supervise rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries, under the direction of a referring physician.
- Maintain accurate medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Supervise and instruct athletic training student aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for local college students.
- Counsel and advise athletes on health-related issues, including nutrition, diet, exercise, and substance abuse.
- State license to practice as an athletic trainer.
- Certification by the Board of Certification, Inc.
- Knowledge of concussion and head injury management.
- One to two years of experience working in the fitness industry or athletic training.
- Background check required.
