JRMC podiatry/foot & ankle surgery is one of several specialties located within the Jamestown Clinic Building, which is conveniently adjacent to the hospital and is the home base for our employed providers. The surgery center, patient care unit, rehab services, imaging and all other support resources are conveniently collocated on the same, modern campus, built in 2011.

The JRMC podiatry/ foot & ankle team consists of:

• current podiatrist is a foot and ankle board-certified surgical podiatrist and joined JRMC in 2017
• current podiatrist also provides outreach to Carrington, ND two times per month and is the JRMC Chiefs of Clinics
• dedicated nursing staff
• nurse-led nail care visits
• joint navigator
• collaborative orthopedic resources
  • Mayo-trained board-certified orthopedic surgeon
  • second orthopedic surgeon joining in January 2025
  • 2 orthopedic advanced practice providers
• comprehensive, co-located rehabilitation services
• 2 athletic trainers staffed by JRMC within the local high school sports programs
• advanced wound healing center with hyperbaric chamber

Additional in-house clinical support:

• JRMC specialty clinic and operating rooms are just steps apart
• strong nurse retention, including 6 on-staff CRNAs
• radiology, including digital x-ray, CT, MRI, mini and large c-arm

• 24/7 physician-staffed ER seeing over 11,000 patients annually

A typical schedule involves:

• 5 days between clinic and surgery*
• .5 days provided for administrative time
• potential for outreach, including one half day each month of contract services with the North Dakota State Hospital

*Distribution dependent on volume. Emergency add-ons conveniently accommodated. Current Podiatrist has one day of block time each week.

To date, podiatry/foot & ankle has not provided any call coverage in the community. To expand accessibility to patients and to utilize best practices for ramping up a new podiatrists exposure in the community, we are seeking to add a small commitment to call availability. 

• 1 call weekend per month (Friday - Sunday)
• 1 call day per week (TBD: Monday - Thursday)

In the most recent fiscal year (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024), the podiatry team saw over 3,000 patients in clinic and performed 222 surgical procedures in the operating room.

• guaranteed salary minimum of $220,000 and upward based on candidate
