Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hampton Inn Wilmington. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in good repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of various hotel facilities and equipment.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify areas for repair, touch-up, or replacement.
  • Assist other department team members in the implementation of our preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personal appearance.
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone, and in person.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and materials.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
