About the Role

Cape Fear Academy is seeking two Full-Time Facilities / Maintenance Technicians to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our 47-acre campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Coordinate office and classroom moves, renovations, and repairs.
  • Perform landscaping activities, including grass cutting, trimming, and debris removal.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Process maintenance requests and updates through our ticketing system.
  • Assist with coordination of construction, landscaping, and facility improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in light plumbing, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to read and follow Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, or carry for a full work day.
  • Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, HVAC codes, and requirements.
  • CDL with P and S endorsements within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of job site/workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in buildings maintenance and landscaping.
