Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Gas Engineering team at NV Energy. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering services to support our natural gas delivery system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and manage projects related to gas distribution system improvements and modifications.
  • Provide engineering and project management services for all phases of a project, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, design, and construction.
  • Conduct economic analyses and feasibility studies for various gas system proposals.
  • Research, develop, and update design, material, and construction standards and processes for all types of gas distribution facilities.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to maintain and develop best practices applicable to construction and material standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight to fellow staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school and 5 years of industry experience as a practicing engineer, or 8+ years as a practicing engineer without a PE license.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical engineering aspects of gas delivery systems, including evaluation, selection, and application of engineering techniques, criteria, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a general office environment with some field work for supervision of projects, programs, or emergency response.

  • Competitive salary range: $100,700 (Min) to $118,400 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity.
