Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Initiating, monitoring, and maintaining mechanical ventilation;
  • Performing respiratory care assessments, interventions, teaching, and handoff;
  • Complying with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Documenting equipment and patient assessments, consultation, clinical notes, and the plan of care;

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program (or equivalent experience);
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist required; Current registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/(*CRT) required;*
  • Minimum Qualifications: New graduate or prior work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT/ (*CRT);

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
