- Formulate individualized treatment programs and maintain accurate records to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Inform faculty and parents about students' progress to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting student success.
- Assess students to determine eligibility for speech and language services and develop treatment plans to meet their unique needs.
- Regularly assess students who receive services, per IEP guidelines and/or need, to ensure they are making progress towards their goals.
- Monitor students' progress and needs, and determine/develop goals and objectives to ensure they are meeting their full potential.
- Meet with students regularly and maintain records of students' progress to track their development and identify areas for improvement.
- Write student IEP progress reports and goals to ensure that students' needs are being met and that they are making progress towards their goals.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as required to ensure that students' needs are being met and that they are receiving the necessary support to succeed academically.
- Report progress to staff and parents, and meet with them regularly to discuss evaluations and treatment plans.
- Provide learning experiences guided by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district standards to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Differentiate instruction and provide opportunities for learning using response to intervention (RTI) framework to ensure that students are receiving the necessary support to succeed academically.
- Implement the district's mission, philosophy of education, and instructional standards and objectives to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Document students' progress and/or concerns, and seek assistance as required to ensure that students are receiving the necessary support to succeed academically.
- Monitor and supervise students through effective classroom management to ensure that they are receiving a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies to increase student learning and confidence to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Follow professional practices consistent with the district's policies to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and other assigned meetings and activities to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Maintain and improve professional competence through professional development and self-generated activities to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct to ensure that students are receiving a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, colleagues, and parents to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
- Promote equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education that is inclusive and supportive of all students.
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in Speech Language and Hearing Disorders.
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) issued by ASHA.
- CFY-Clinical Fellow Year.
- Knowledge of current education legislation and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
