Key Duties

- Maintaining comprehensive consumer files.
- Handling incoming calls related to eligibility inquiries.
- Ensuring consumers receive re-determination information.
- Reviewing returned materials for completeness.
- Contacting consumers for additional information as needed.
- Applying program rules to verify continued eligibility.
- Maintaining accurate consumer files.
- Processing information between determinations to ensure benefits remain current.
- Reviewing and processing updated information from consumers.
- Adjusting benefits as necessary.
- Verifying consumer information.
- Processing and reviewing forms related to the MMIS database.
- Providing resources and community referrals.
- Attending consumer hearings and providing testimony as required.
- Embracing the agency's mission and core values.
- Understanding the importance of consumer choice.
- Interacting respectfully with the public and colleagues.

Minimum Requirements:
A qualified candidate will possess a minimum of four (4) years of a combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. Acceptable qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field.
- Experience working directly with consumers in social service settings.
- A combination of relevant education and work experience totaling at least four years.
