Essential Qualifications

Educational Background: Completion of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology.

Certifications:

Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support is required. A valid license or temporary license issued by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is mandatory. Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) is essential.

Skills and Experience:

Capability to assist in lifting and moving patients alongside colleagues to fulfill job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts specialized and invasive radiology examinations on patients while adhering to all radiation safety protocols: Prepares patients for procedures, clarifies the process, administers contrast agents when required, positions patients accurately, selects suitable imaging methods, and ensures the technical quality of the resulting images. Inputs and oversees patient information. Performs quality control checks on radiology apparatus. May aid in the initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation processes. Identifies and communicates any incidents, grievances, or equipment failures to departmental leadership. Responds to emergency calls within the department. Guarantees safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; complies with all organizational policies, procedures, and standards while managing budgetary constraints, including time and supply management, productivity, and service quality. Encourages personal professional development by fulfilling mandatory and continuing education requirements; supports departmental objectives that contribute to the organization's success; acts as a mentor and resource for less experienced personnel. Demonstrates a commitment to providing care for every community member by fostering compassionate and personalized experiences. Exemplifies the organization's service standards by delivering safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues. Performs additional duties as assigned.
