Job Summary

Performs specialized radiologic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.

Acts as an assistant to the physician during invasive radiological procedures, utilizing technical expertise to produce high-quality images.

Job Description

Shift Details

Day shift - four 10-hour shifts per week

0730 shift start

Flexibility with call/rotation

Required to do on-call IR

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Licenses/Certifications:

Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support

Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required

Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions

Principal Accountabilities

Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment, ensuring technical quality of images and compliance with accreditation standards.

Enters and monitors patient data, utilizing technical expertise to optimize imaging procedures.

Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.

Takes emergency call within the department, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.

Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.

Promotes individual professional growth and development, meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
