Sensory Research Coordinator

Job Overview

Givaudan is seeking a highly skilled Sensory Research Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our sensory team, you will play a critical role in executing sensory research testing and training to provide insights that guide successful food and beverage product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the sensory team to execute sensory research testing and training
  • Assist panel leaders with sample preparation and serving for the descriptive panel
  • Follow proper protocols, anticipate and troubleshoot problems, and provide recommendations for improvement of sensory testing
  • Support language training and order supplies and/or samples for the Sensory team
  • Maintain a safe and high-quality laboratory environment
  • Order and maintain supply of lab materials and equipment
  • Compusense power user for the sensory team
  • Maintain panelist databases, create tests, surveys, and schedules, and run reports
  • Learn and use Givaudan's internal systems, including FPR, Atlas, Insights Hub, Aroma Sniff, and ATOM
  • Ensure logistics of testing sessions are followed, including panel recruitment, preparation and serving of samples, and problem-solving throughout the test
Requirements
  • Knowledge of sensory science is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Meets the physical requirements of the job, including standing for long periods of time and moving equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter
