Job Summary

The University of Kentucky's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders seeks a skilled Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team. This full-time position will provide diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders to an outpatient Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery population in a state-of-the-art Voice & Swallow Clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide voice evaluation and rehabilitation services using evidence-based methods
  • Conduct rigid and flexible endoscopy in adult and pediatric populations
  • Assess and treat patients with laryngeal dystonia and vocal tremor, EILO/ILO, chronic cough/throat clearing, and other voice disorders
  • Perform acoustic and aerodynamic voice analysis, pediatric voice evaluation, and treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patient needs

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • Eligibility for Kentucky State licensure
  • Experience with videofluoroscopy/FEES and head & neck cancer is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship
  • Experience in clinical instruction and mentorship of graduate speech pathology students, medical students, and residents
