Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating different types of vehicles, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring that all cargo is delivered in excellent condition.

Duties
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks and tractor-trailers.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo at various locations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and insurable driving record.
  • Familiarity with operating different types of trucks, such as tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers.
  • Experience in freight transportation and delivery driving is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
  • A commitment to safety practices and regulations in the transportation industry.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 per hour. The expected hours of work are per week, with a company driver role and local trucking routes. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.
