Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and reception duties at the front desk, including hospitality for guests and candidates for library positions.
  • Perform administrative support tasks for the Dean of Libraries, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and report preparation.
  • Reserve and schedule meetings and events in Libraries conference room spaces, ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer experience.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including UW Giving Day and the Libraries' award ceremony.
  • Participate in fiscal planning activities, working closely with the Libraries leadership team to manage Foundation accounts.
  • Serve as the Libraries Dean's Office liaison on various committees, teams, and working groups, fostering collaboration and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree
  • 1 year progressively responsible experience in an office setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years professional experience in an office setting
  • Experience planning and managing calendars and schedules
  • Event planning experience
  • Collaboration and teamwork abilities
