Field Parts Sales Representative

Position Overview:

This role involves identifying, generating, and securing sales beyond the company premises. The primary responsibility includes processing orders from current clients and attracting potential non-member customers through telephone outreach or in-person visits. It is crucial for this position to deliver comprehensive information regarding the diverse range of products, programs, or services provided by the organization.

  • Arranging meetings with existing clients to assess product needs and explore additional opportunities.
  • Strategically planning and executing sales presentations through daily in-person customer interactions.
  • Creating professional demonstrations or presentations of company offerings during on-site visits.
  • Acting as a liaison between the organization and clients to provide current information on pricing, services, and new product launches.
  • Developing and nurturing non-member business accounts to boost revenue through proactive outreach.
  • Keeping all clients informed about updates, modifications, and enhancements to company products.
  • Enhancing knowledge of new products, processes, services, and tools by participating in departmental and training sessions.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor to represent the company positively.
  • Participating in industry conferences and trade shows effectively.
  • Utilizing marketing insights to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency with relevant sales management tools.
  • Coordinating joint sales calls and attending them alongside vendors.
  • Preparing sales and marketing reports while managing expense accounts.
  • Updating and maintaining customer accounts, including contact details for future sales opportunities.
  • Providing product quotations to clients as necessary.
  • Ensuring thorough follow-up after referring leads to managers, including complete customer profiles, calls-to-action, sources, and dates.

Physical Requirements

In performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate verbally. The employee frequently stands and occasionally sits. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will involve significant driving for route sales and deliveries.
