Job Summary

Bonton Associates is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join its Construction & Engineering Inspections team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activity, conducting inspections, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on construction progress, including significant milestones and any conditions that may affect project cost or schedule.
  • Work closely with project managers and the lead of the Construction group to provide functional oversight over contracted designers, contractors, and other professional consultants.
  • Conduct and document field observations of construction activities.
  • Coordinate reviews and responses to requests for information and contract submittals between engineering and construction teams.
  • Review baseline construction schedules and monitor critical path activities during construction.
  • Discuss plans, specifications, and work schedules with project stakeholders, including owners, engineering teams, utility personnel, and the general public.
Requirements
  • Experience in construction management of public infrastructure projects.
  • Technical degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program is preferred, but not required.
  • Five years progressive experience in construction observation or experience related to utility, water, wastewater, drainage, earthwork, and roadway construction with a Bachelor's Degree. Ten years progressive experience in construction observation or experience related to utility, water, wastewater, drainage, earthwork, and roadway construction without a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, etc.
