Position Overview

As a Quality Improvement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing processes and ensuring systemic quality advancements. Your collaboration with Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams will be essential in sharing best practices and developing innovative solutions to minimize variability and enhance quality consistency, as evidenced by statistical analysis.


We seek an individual who excels in complex problem-solving, leveraging your expertise in chemistry and engineering to drive evidence-based continuous improvement initiatives.

Success in this role requires a blend of curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication to facilitate structured problem-solving within cross-functional teams.

A solid grasp of statistical methodologies, particularly statistical process control, will be advantageous.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining, achieving, maintaining, and enhancing our Quality Management System in alignment with strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead metrics, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production issues and customer feedback.
- Implement and support quality enhancement projects.
- Identify solutions for non-conforming products.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including senior leadership and plant personnel.
- Coach on quality best practices to eliminate waste and ensure error-proofing.
- Provide Quality System Management support for our facilities.
- Ensure adherence to established good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
- Support ISO and Quality System processes through collaboration with various departments.
- Assist in data preparation and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and deliver training on Quality Management Systems and related topics.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Review analytical results from quality control staff.
- Compile and prepare data packages for management and customer submissions.
- Lead the development of Control Plans and PFMEA.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Proficient in root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures.
- Strong documentation skills for complex processes.
- Expertise in statistical process control methodologies.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Experience with data analysis tools, including run charts and Pareto analysis.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage projects to completion.
- Proven ability to follow procedures and multitask effectively with a positive outlook.
Additional Information

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Potential for occasional international travel.
- Willingness to work off-shift assignments.
Educational Background

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Preferred experience in quality control or assurance.
- Familiarity with Liquid Batch Processing and Emulsion Chemistry is a plus.
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO-9000, Kosher, and GMP is desirable.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
