Quality Assurance Role at Thyssenkrupp

Thyssenkrupp is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide internal quality support for Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) teams. The ideal candidate will actively participate in problem-solving activities with both OE and AM quality teams, assist in daily issue resolution, and conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to evaluate the accuracy and precision of measurement systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide internal quality support for OE and AM teams
  • Participate in problem-solving activities with OE and AM quality teams
  • Assist in daily issue resolution
  • Conduct MSA to evaluate measurement system accuracy and precision
  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks in processes and products
  • Use and calibrate various gauges and measurement tools to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Contribute to the development and analysis of measurement systems
  • Coordinate product dimensional validation efforts to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge or coursework in quality tools such as MSA, FMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Willingness to learn and use gauges and measurement tools for product dimensional validation and quality control
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to support issue resolution in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in continuous improvement principles and desire to contribute to enhancing product and process efficiency
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with OE and AM quality teams, as well as other cross-functional groups
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate projects under guidance in a dynamic work setting
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on learning accuracy and quality compliance techniques
