About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Installation & Inspection Technician to join our team at New Era Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and service of fire alarm systems, as well as assist in the installation of various low voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and service fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the installation of various low voltage systems, including video surveillance, door access, AV, audio, paging, intercom, nurse call, and network systems.
  • Complete projects in the most efficient and effective manner, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Respond to customer service-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Accurately complete service installation tickets and inventory items.
  • Work in a safe, positive manner, showing respect to others and contributing to the team.
  • Fully comply with company and customer safety programs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and dependability by following instructions and being an active listener.
  • Adapt well to changing circumstances or conditions in the field.
  • Pursue career development opportunities, such as training and certification courses.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all New Era Technology policies, including dress code, safety, attendance, etc.
Requirements
  • Prior fire alarm experience is required.
  • Preferred EST fire alarm experience.
  • Obtain Fire Alarm NICET certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.
Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting addressable fire alarm systems.

High School Diploma required.

English language skills required.

Work Environment

On-site client location.

Expected Hours of Work

7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Travel

Minimal.

Physical Demands

Ability to drive a company van to client sites.

Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.

Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.

Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects.

Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.

Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand.

Regularly understand the speech of another person.

Frequently work on projects that require deadlines.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range

$30 - $36.69/hour with paid health insurance benefits (medical & vision).
