Job Overview

Envelop Group is a leading provider of custom facility technologies, and we're seeking a skilled Fire Alarm System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fire Protection Service team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our clients' fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection equipment, including fire alarm, suppression systems, and sprinkler systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical and fire codes, and generate accurate reports of inspections, repairs, and deficiencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, stocked with necessary parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional overtime and weekend work.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of electrical and equipment repair.
  • Related work experience in a commercial or construction environment, preferably with electronic fire protection and sprinkler systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decisive judgment skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, providing dedicated support to our customers.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
