Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Engineering – Mechanical, Software & Systems to lead our Cabin Electronics Power Team in Redmond, WA.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and management to the engineering teams, ensuring the successful execution of advanced research and new product development programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve engineering processes and design methods, driving continuous improvement and lean goals.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and realize strategic plans, capital and operating budgets, and other corporate goals.
- Develop and report performance metrics in support of company objectives and lean initiatives.
- Conduct performance appraisals and make compensation decisions, ensuring the growth and development of employees.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Five (5) or more years of experience and proficiency in the duties and responsibilities of the role, as demonstrated through relevant skills or practical experience.
- Experience with DO-160, Boeing, and Airbus requirements.
- Familiarity with Project Management Professional concepts.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations, such as FAA, EASA, SAE, RTCA.
- Program Management / Project Engineering experience within Aerospace engineering development projects.
