Host/Hostess Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team at The Boar's Head Resort. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Seat Guests: Welcome guests, receive reservations, and seat them in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Take Reservations: Manage reservations in the Open Table system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Answer Phone Calls: Respond to phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, obtaining necessary information and resolving guest inquiries.
  • Handle Special Events: Assist with reservations and seating for special events, such as holidays and themed dinners.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the host stand area is clean and organized, adhering to Forbes Four Star Service Expectations.

Requirements:

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: Proven track record of providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and team members.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ability to Work Under Stress: Remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
