The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities for the service area healthcare coalition. This position will be responsible for following grant guidance and the coalition's activities to aid coalition members in planning for and responding to all hazards emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and procedures
  • Provide consultation and technical assistance to local service-area partners in the development, implementation, and quality assurance review of federal and state grant-related activities
  • Coordinate service area objectives and activities with local partners to ensure IDPH contractual and federal grant standards and objectives are met
  • Perform a wide variety of laboratory duties, including water testing, quality control, and cleaning lab equipment
