Position Overview:

We are seeking a Coherence Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Senior Architect to evaluate and enhance our current Oracle Coherence caching infrastructure. This role involves analyzing the setup from both producer and consumer viewpoints, assessing cache patterns, and pinpointing areas for improvement to develop a strategic, scalable, and reliable solution that guarantees the stability of customer interactions dependent on this caching system.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a thorough review of the existing Oracle Coherence cache architecture.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and implement high-performance solutions.
  • Utilize strong expertise in Coherence caching, messaging, Grid Gain, and Redis.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of messaging technologies such as Active MQ, RabbitMQ, and IBMMQ.
  • Apply Object-Oriented Design principles using Java or similar programming languages.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Java 1.8 and J2EE frameworks, including Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and JPA.
  • Engage in hands-on development of SOAP Web services and Microservices/REST endpoints.
  • Possess a strong grasp of Service Discovery, Load Balancing, and Resiliency concepts.
  • Implement DevOps practices and leverage open-source cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS and OpenShift.
  • Manage authentication processes using OAuth and OAuth 2.
  • Utilize build tools such as Maven and Gradle, along with DevOps tools like Jenkins Pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD), Junit, and Mockito.
  • Proficiency in code scanning tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, and Prisma Scan.
  • Experience in API development and integration with third-party services.
