Molecular Diagnostics Specialist

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Molecular Diagnostics at UCLA Health, you will be at the forefront of disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. You will collaborate with world-class clinicians and work with the latest laboratory technology to advance your career in one of the nation's top health systems.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to assay development, improve test workflows, and educate trainees. You will also collaborate closely with genetic counselors, variant scientists, and bioinformaticians involved in in-house molecular testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement new assays and tests
Collaborate with clinicians and scientists to improve test workflows
Educate trainees on molecular diagnostics
Work with genetic counselors and variant scientists to interpret genetic data
Requirements:
Current California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license or Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
Bachelor's degree
Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam
